Venetian blinds

We can now afford privacy in the ensuite and main bathroom. Not that there's any neighbour in close proximity close to see us ...

However, the Luxaflex micro Venetian blinds in "bright silver" look very stylish.

Moving in

We have moved in (well, in the process of moving from the shed to the house), even though there are still a few little fix up jobs which the builders are yet to do.

One of the highlights for me is having lots of kitchen bench space.  It so good to not have to shuffle things around when trying to prepare meals.

The fireplace was tested out too, and it's just lovely.

No wi-fi in the house yet. The kids are showing withdrawal symptoms ...

Keys handed over

After 11 months, the builders finally handed the house keys over to us.

We're pleased with the house even though there's a lot of work ahead of us before it is completely finished.

Day 1967 - 7th October 2013

Almost finished, except for 7 or 8 boards.  We've even put a few plants in place. We are very happy with the result.

Leylandii conifers planted 14th September - just before the big rain came.  I'm looking forward to see them grow.  More to plant in the next few weeks.

Garrie thought he should go through the front door on his tractor. Just kidding. He's getting the ground level right in preparation for the front deck.
